Champion’s role was multifold; to manage and coordinate with multiple Nike fixture vendors to ship truckload quantities into New York’s Times Square.
Nike required white glove service and date/time specific-off hour delivery for this project. It entailed ‘back-to-back’ evening deliveries that started at 10pm and ended at 6am.
Because NYC does not have alleys (thus no dock), and this specific area was not zoned for 53ft trailers, Champion had to off-load and cross dock the blanket-wrapped & skidded fixtures at our partner agents. Champion staged and held all material for 24 hours and re-loaded it onto (8) straight trucks for Times Square delivery.
With the Vendor timelines and ‘ever changing’ production schedules, this program was managed and handled flawlessly by Champion’s dedicated Nike team. More importantly, it was highly viewed and regarded by many key decision makers within Nike NA.
